Sex therapy is a specialised type of therapy that uses a range of interventions to treat sexual dysfunctions.
Research consistently shows that online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person therapy.
In case of a technological failure, the session will move to the telephone, and subsequent arrangements will be made over the phone.
It really depends. Sometimes, all you need is reassurance and essential advice. Sometimes the problem is more complex, and we need a few more sessions. On average, most individuals achieve a desirable outcome in between 5 to 10 sessions. For couples, it is often between 10 to 15.

Sexual problems are not one person's problem/fault. They are often the relationship's problem and your partner may have been negatively affected by the problem more than you. I often encourage my clients to attend as a couple when possible. Of course, you can choose to attend by yourself if you prefer or feel more comfortable that way (or if you are not in a relationship).
Couples sessions cost the same as individual sessions.
For some people, talking about sexual issues with someone of the opposite gender feels uncomfortable. There has been occasions that, following an assessment, I suggested to a female client to work with a female therapist (for example, when they had a history of sexual trauma/abuse, and they were extremely anxious and uncomfortable during the session).
Having said that, there is no evidence to suggest that women should work with female sex therapists, or they achieve better therapy results when they work with female therapists.
Throughout the years, I've worked as a therapist with hundreds of female clients, and I've seen that working with a male therapist can be especially helpful. For example, it can help a woman develop comfort and confidence in having a positive relationship with a man who listens and is sensitive to their experiences and needs. Also, therapy with a male therapist can be a great safe space for a female client to practice developing healthy boundaries and building trust in her relationships with men.
